Jeremy OrrJeremy Orr

While serving in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom III as a physician's assistant, Jeremy provided health care not only to soldiers, but the local Iraqi populace.  His expertise and genuine concern for the welfare of the Iraqi people earned him a level of notoriety among the Iraqis as a "gift to the people."  Jeremy spearheaded a remarkable effort to aid a little girl who badly needed surgery.  In doing so, he realized that there was tremendous support for what he was doing.  At that point, he decided that this was an endeavor he must continue.  He created a vast network of contacts throughout the global health care community and continues to use this network to assist needy Iraqi children.

A platoon leader during OIF III, Steve worked in conjunction with Jeremy to raise awareness and funds to support the Iraqi people's medical needs.  Steve's unit raised an impressive $1500 in five days to help a little girl receive the surgery she needed so badly.  Through his partnership with Jeremy, Steve realized that this was a worth-while endeavor and pledged to continue to work with Jeremy to secure care for the children of Iraq.  Steve, who's not a medical specialist, handles the organization's IT and assists Jeremy with contact management and PR.
